Description of technology
Hydroabrasive separation is defined as a computer-controlled highly-erosive process. The principle of hydroabrasive separation consists in injecting a hydroabrasive stream, or only water at supersonic speed on the divided material, which leads to its disintegration. The permeate, which carries the kinetic energy of the abrasive, washes away the products of the removal from the cutting site and ensures cooling of the cutting site. Precisely because of the cooling of the cutting point, this material cutting technology is more advantageous than conventional cutting technologies, in which undesired heat is introduced into the cut materials with a consequent change in structure, deformation and change in visual appearance.
Advantages and uses - why a water jet
Material separation is micro-dimensional and occurs at a large number of sites. The fast-moving stream does not create sparks or dust, there is no thermal effect on the surface, it is not necessary to exert a large force on the material to be divided and, as a result, there is no deformation of the material during the material. The advantage of hydroabrasive cutting is that it cuts materials in all directions in a cold way, with simple shape cutting.
Other benefits include:
- applicability for turning, milling, drilling, punching, deburring
- ability to separate soft as well as hard materials,
- ability to separate multicomponent composite materials,
- no workpiece attachment required,
- shape diversity,
- dust-free,
- small losses in the cut,
- It is possible to divide any shape on the surface. The only limitation is the limitation given by the circular cross-section of the stream
- and the strength of the divided material.
- Dividing very detailed contours.
- It is possible to achieve a high recovery of the semi-finished product, thanks to the small diameter of the "tool". In some cases, it is advantageous to use a "common cut" for two parts at once. This saves time in production.nc.
One of the advantages is also the ability to start and end the division at any point, at any time, with high shape accuracy. The water stream can divide materials with different structures, including multilayer materials without crushing the edges of the material. It is well suited for shape division with NC and CNC, with optical or manual control. Originally, the technology of high-pressure hydroabrasive jet cutting was associated with solving tasks in the aerospace and mining industries. At present, this technology is widely used in various industries, in which a wide range of new difficult-to-machine materials is used, e.g. composite materials with metal matrix, monolithic and composite ceramic materials. Today, this technology is introduced in almost all manufacturing and industrial sectors.
The company is based in Prešov at 43 Royova Street, where it has built stable workplaces for dividing and cutting various types of materials, storage and service facilities.
